The Heritage Center & Horizons Rehabilitation at Holiday Health Care is recruiting a Director of Rehabilitation to join our team. The Director of Rehabilitation will provide management and coordination of the rehabilitation department and should hold a current occupational therapist, physical therapist, or speech language pathologist license. Our ideal applicant will have some experience in management or leadership and have a passion for working with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate assignments of residents and other responsibilities to staff therapists
• Interview, hire, and train new hires in the rehabilitation department
• Collaborate and coordinate with other departments as part of the interdisciplinary team to maximize functional outcomes in patient care
• Coordinate and supervise therapy student programs
• Communicate with Facility Administrator and VP of Operations regarding departmental programs, goals, objectives and problem solving
• Participate in daily morning meetings, department head meetings, care conferences, quality assurance meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and manage documentation and billing of therapy services to assure concise and accurate records meeting governmental and third party payor requirements
• Manage departmental expenditure of funds to meet facility/patient needs while following budgetary requirements

Qualifications:

• Must hold current Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist license
• State credentialing/licensure as required and membership in professional organization is preferred
