Reimbursement Services Director directs and supervises the activities of the claims and provider reimbursement personnel. Handles third-party reimbursement for services rendered to patients. Being a Reimbursement Services Director sets procedures for filing reimbursement claims and ensures timely and accurate claims payments. Monitors, evaluates and reviews all cost reporting in support of reimbursement claims. Additionally, Reimbursement Services Director develops policies and procedures compliant with fiscal and regulatory requirements. Oversees the collection of statistical and financial data needed for preparing annual and monthly health insurance reports. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Reimbursement Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Summary:


    The Reimbursement Analyst assists reporting, audit support, accounting, analysis, revenue opportunities, and systems related to third party payors. Prepares reporting to assist Revenue Cycle leadership for accounts receivable and billing denial management. Facilitate charge capture monitoring.

    The Reimbursement Analyst demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all time consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.


    Responsibilities:


    Assists in preparation of cost reports and interim reporting for Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Cross payors.
    Prepares reporting used in financial statement net revenue, net patient accounts receivable, and third party receivables on all open year.
    Prepares reconciliations for monthly financials statements and audits. Provides support for audit requestes.
    Prepares monthly revenue cycle reporting and billing denial management reporting.
    Assists revenue cycle managers with analysis.


    Other information:

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, or other related field.
    Prior finance experience preferred
    Health care experience preferred
    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    Proficient in computer applications including EPIC EMR, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    Detail oriented approach to problem solving.
    Strong analytical skills needed to compile information, summarize, draw conclusions from financial and statistical data.
    Demonstrated organizational skills.
    Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive issues and material.
    Project a positive and energetic image.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
