Tangram’s reinsurance division, trading as Preferred Reinsurance Intermediaries (Preferred Re) is a full-service reinsurance broker, with a strong focus in the Program Business space. The division is in a transformational period of growth and development, and we are looking for motivated reinsurance professionals to help build and scale this business to its full potential. As a member of the reinsurance broker team, you will work closely in collaboration with the senior brokers to focus efforts on new business and growing established relationships through the development of insurance programs and reinsurance solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assist in the development of program and reinsurance submissions using client provided and individually sourced market data
• Work with complex data to create comprehensive and accurate internal management systems to monitor and track all steps within the placement process
• Collaborate withs senior brokers on development of optimal program structures
• Develop comprehensive relationships with key markets and maintain understanding of current risk appetites and market dynamics
• Assist and support the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities through target prospects and existing clients
• Participate and assist in new program production and placements
• Work closely with marketing team members to review reinsurance contracts
• Achieve high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service.
• Cultivate and promote a team approach to both internal and external business relationships

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within the reinsurance industry
• Established relationships with underwriting personnel at domestic reinsurance markets
• Technical understanding of commercial insurance and reinsurance structures, ARe or CPL designations will be viewed favorably, though not necessary
• Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with an ability to create and manage spreadsheets including complex formulas
• Proficient in reviewing reinsurance contracts
• General understanding of reinsurance accounting
• Strong communicator with capability to interact with clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships
• Entrepreneurial attitude with keen negotiation, business acumen and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Positive attitude towards customer service and relationship management Positive attitude and sense of humor

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
