Relationship Manager - Sales manages personal banking staff and daily operations to ensure customer satisfaction and develop client relationships. Focuses teams on identifying customer needs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and services to explain, promote, and cross-sell products and services. Being a Relationship Manager - Sales ensures efficient processing of basic branch service transactions and accurate referrals to enable customers to access the right resource to facilitate other banking requests easily. Develops processes that enable staff to provide rapid research and solutions to account issues, answers to customer inquiries, and effective education and training on banking self-service technology. Additionally, Relationship Manager - Sales requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Relationship Manager - Sales supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • POSITION OVERVIEW 

    The Business Relationship Manager is responsible for the operational relationship with a key business partners in our PreNeed channel, based in Hartford, CT or Batesville, IN.  The candidate will foster a strong partnership while working closely with internal teams to provide proactive operational support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accountability, collaboration, strong relationship skills and have a drive to excel.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Proactively support and expand relationships through proactive support for product, technology, and operational initiatives
    • Design solutions to manage and resolve operational opportunities
    • Facilitating research for complex business problems to influence solutions
    • Collaborates with internal partners to provide unified operational support, message coordination and issue resolution to assigned distribution groups
    • Responsible for communicating and facilitating key initiatives and opportunities with internal partners in operations, sales, legal, compliance, IT, etc.
    • Proactively managing relationships through data analysis and reporting
    • Internally aligning strategic priorities, projects and tactical requests
    • Develop strong relationships and constant communication, including regular meetings and visits to gather feedback and ensure service needs are met
    • Partner with sales to identify and act on feedback and trends to enhance the overall producer experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Three (3 ) or more years of progressive professional relationship management experience and three (3 ) or more years of operational or sales leadership experience in the insurance or financial services industry
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
    • Excellent communication skills, work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
    • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
    • Occasional travel required
