Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Job Scope: : As part of this position in Louisville, KY, this position will originate and develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes while also acquiring and analyzing data. This position will help to support needs onsite at a Speciality Chemicals facility.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Certification: Professional Engineering registration and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt Certification) are highly preferred.
Experience: This position requires 3 or more years of relevant industrial experience in maintenance and/or reliability function with that experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
