Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Reliability Engineer
Use your knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell ADM deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to Honeywell's development by evaluating the reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of reliability engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
· Engineering resource who is responsible for assuring site assets perform reliably and thus minimize unexpected downtime associated with equipment failures; leads RCFA
· Lead OEE improvements. Identify repeat failures and recommend asset strategies to improve reliability; create new maintenance plans, task lists and job plans
· Participate in Asset Health Review and asset replacement decisions. Provide historical timeline for assets, make prediction on asset life and replacement, review results from preventative activities and any bad actor reviews
· Manage the preventative and predictive maintenance programs for the site; ensures regulatory compliance requirements are met (PSM RMP, etc.)
· Plan and execute annual TAR
· Participate in Capital Process for new and/or replacement assets
· Manage repair and maintenance budget. Identify and execute productivity projects to improve YOY costs
· Interact collaboratively with site/functional teams, customers, contractors, leadership, etc.
· Collaborates with Procurement team to identify and select competitive bids; provide SOW and demonstrate effective negotiation skills
· Technical expert for the site
· Plan routine maintenance activities
· Prepare or update reports and documentation
· Develop new techniques and analytical tools
· Identify areas for improvement
· Facilitate issue identification and analysis
· Plan, lead and execute projects
