Renal Dialysis Director directs the staff and programs of the renal dialysis department. Organizes and coordinates inpatient and outpatient dialysis services and operations. Being a Renal Dialysis Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for dialysis operations and programs. Monitors quality of care, compliance, and data collection and leads quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Director oversees the professional development of staff and educational support programs for patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Renal Dialysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Renal Dialysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Work Environment:
This job exists in a hospital or in the medical unit of a post-acute or correctional facility. This role may include exposure to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens. This role routinely involves the use of both medical and standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
