Job Purpose and Objective:
To analyze samples and interpret microbiological results for raw materials, in-process intermediates, finished products and the manufacturing and laboratory environments in order to ensure quality of finished products meet standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance with procedures during performance of analyses.
Inventory, preparation and maintenance of media, reagents, materials, sterile supplies, glassware and stock cultures.
Routine monitoring and preventive maintenance of incubators, refrigerators, BSCs and other laboratory equipment and instrumentation as per procedures.
Maintain knowledge of current scientific principles, theories, and procedures as assigned in areas of competence.
Assist with microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process intermediates, finished products, environmental monitoring product contact surfaces and viable airborne particulates samples.
Report procedural deviations, laboratory incidents, environmental excursions and OOT/OOS results to management.
Maintain the microbiological laboratory in a sanitized and orderly state in compliance with safety, GLP and USP requirements and adherence to 5S.
Education: College degree in related discipline - Experienced or recent graduate
Experience: 1 - 3 Years in a quality control lab environment
