I. Position Summary
The right candidate will perform minor repairs and replacements based off damage assessment, manager recommendation, and visual findings. Excellent critical thinking and mechanical skills are essential to assess, evaluate, and determine the proper repair process for faulty equipment.
· Coordinate and perform hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs (including preventive maintenance) as needed to ovens, refrigerators, and other cooking equipment.
· Detect, trouble shoot, and perform minor electrical repairs to circuits, cords, and plugs.
· Perform minor repairs to Table Chefs, and safely handle butane cans.
· Detect, trouble shoot, and perform repairs propane to hoses, quick connectors, etc.
· Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals and troubleshooting guides to diagnose and repair equipment.
· Observe and perform minor repairs to Popcorn machine, Hot Dog Warmers, Cotton Candy, & Pretzel Warmers.
· Reassemble units after repairs are made, making adjustment, and cleaning and lubricating parts as needed.
· Follows and adheres to all safety procedures, wears required safety equipment and supports all safety programs.
· Respond to emergency maintenance as required in a tactful and expedient manner.
· Assists with special projects as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned by manager.
II. Basic Qualifications
Education
· High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent experience.
· 2 years' experience and/or training in commercial cooking equipment
Experience
· Accuracy and quality of product
· Experience with cooking equipment preferred.
· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. There will be frequent standing up to 90%.
· Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workload.
