Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res.     At Butchertown Hall, the Front of House Manager oversees all operations in the restaurant (except for the kitchen). This individual shapes a restaurant-goer’s experience by maintaining the dining room’s appearance, hiring and training quality staff, and ensuring good customer service, be a Host when needed as well as Food Runner


    The
    FOH Manager is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating staff on all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by followingAmaranth Hospitality Service Standards. The FOH Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of service and guest satisfaction. Also, collaborates with other team members and completes pre-service training andpost-service duty delegation, and being attentive during service to support additional team members and guest requests.


    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in similar capacity


    • Must be at least 18 years of age


    • Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure


    • Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests


    • Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule


    • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed


    • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously


    • Tips certified and POS knowledge


    Physical Requirements


    • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.


    • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.


    • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds.


    Basic Job Duties


    • Manage the training of the servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers to meet the specific needs of the restaurant.


    • Supervise Upkeep of Guest Areas.


    • Responsible for shift planning using the scheduling systems to assign waitstaff based on anticipated demand. Ability to direct staff to handle unexpected situations and customer concerns throughout a shift as needed.
