Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res. Responsibilities:
- Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient store performance
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues or complaints
- Manage and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer experience
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store manager for replenishment
- Assist in visual merchandising and maintaining store appearance
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales strategies
Skills:
- Bilingual Preferred (fluency in English and [other language])
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in a similar role
- Proficient in basic math for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to drive sales growth
- Knowledge of store management principles and procedures
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
