Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res.     Responsibilities:
    • Provide high-level customer service and exceptional hospitality to Ryptic Room Escape customers, handling customer issues and concerns in a positive and timely manner.
    • Being able to run all four of our Escape Room Games, and train other staff on these games.
    • Train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate Ryptic staff, creating and maintaining a team that is highly personable, client-oriented and committed to achieving and exceeding both the location and company goals.
    • Work closely with the Operations Manager on the implementation of standard operating policies and procedures designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
    • Assist in maintaining and upgrading our locations to the highest quality.

    Qualifications:
    • 1-2 years prior management experience in retail hospitality.
    • Degree from an accredited, four-year college or university.
    • Strong leadership experience (coaching, developing, or mentoring individuals with examples of success stories is a huge plus).
    • A LOVE for customer service (making people happy!).
    • Amazing communication skills — must be able to set clear expectations and give/receive feedback clearly and effectively.
    • Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in the moment – every day is different at RYPTIC.
    • Must possess a passion for Escape Rooms!
    • Able to work a non-traditional schedule (Want to dodge the line at the market, or go to the doctor without interrupting your workday? That’s what Tuesdays can be for).
    • Comfortable using power tools on the job from time to time.
    • Any experience with woodworking, Arduino electronics, and low voltage wiring is a must!
