PIRE’s Louisville Center is currently engaged in a growing portfolio of projects within the State of Kentucky. These local and federally funded projects seek to address the intersecting needs of individuals experiencing violence including mental health challenges, navigating the criminal justice system, substance misuse, and housing loss. These projects use a community-based approach to supporting service providers across the state.
We are seeking a Research Associate who, with supervision, will support PIRE Louisville’s Project Director with planning, implementing, and coordinating evaluation and research activities for at least three Kentucky-based research projects. Responsibilities include leading major or minor components of such projects, preparing or helping to prepare project deliverables, and overseeing project timelines. The Research Associate I may also interface directly with funding agencies, funding recipients, and other program stakeholders to coordinate program activities. In this professional role, the Research Associate I must handle multiple projects simultaneously and fast-paced schedules with professionalism, maturity, poise, and confidence. Success in this role requires this person to have experience working in domestic/intimate partner violence, criminal justice, and community health issues, and ideally knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches. Knowledge of and/or experience writing and implementing state or federally funded grants is preferred.
