RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes.  This position will be onsite at our client's Mossville, IL facility working with their engine development facility.

This Development/Research Engineer will work hand and hand with managers and engineers to monitor process defects inside and outside of the facility.  They will also be working with suppliers and customers, so good communication skills are required.

Development/Research Engineer

Requirements:

• Catalyst experience
• Test experience
• Matlab and/or Python analysis
• Communication Skills (verbal & written)
• 2 years of experience
• Aftertreatment experience would be preferred

Role Attributes: 

• Review test cell data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.
• Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs. Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.
• Run simulations to ensure catalyst performance meets program needs.
• Perform analysis for new programs on total catalyst volume needed to meet required emissions
• Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install
• Create aftertreatment related diagnostic maps and simulate they trip
• Gather test cell data for boundary conditions hardware will undergo while testing/out in application and for emission cycles.
