Description & Details: The NDSU English department invites applicants for a post-doctoral position in English (Rhetoric and Writing). The successful candidate will become a member of a department that offers undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees in a supportive, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for faculty and students at all levels.
Responsibilities: We seek candidates interested in teaching and researching first-year writing and advanced writing courses. The position is 60% teaching/mentoring and 40% research. The teaching load is 3 courses in the Fall 2023 and 2 courses in the Spring 2024, plus mentoring for graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop a graduate-level course (ENGL 758 – Topics in Rhetoric, Writing, and Culture) based on their area of expertise. The successful candidate will make progress on their scholarly research agenda through presentations and/or publications.
