Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Inventory and Purchasing Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves managing our product procurement and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability for our catalog and online sales channels. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, strategic thinker, and is comfortable with both planning and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
· Place purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet sales demands.
· Monitor inventory levels across all channels to prevent stockouts of key items while avoiding overstock situations.
· Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to forecast demand and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to meet cost objectives.
· Implement inventory management best practices, including regular stock audits and reporting.
· Identify opportunities for inventory optimization and cost savings.
· Respond proactively to any supply chain disruptions or issues.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in inventory or purchasing management, preferably in a catalog/e-commerce environment.
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
· Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
· Ability to work independently and take initiative.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
