Residential Care Facilities Manager oversees facility services at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, including building and grounds maintenance, laundry and housekeeping. Supervises and trains staff, and plans work schedules and assignments. Being a Residential Care Facilities Manager performs regular inspections to ensure that appearance and cleanliness standards are maintained, and that equipment is functioning properly. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Residential Care Facilities Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Care Facilities Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Residential Care Facilities Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • House managers are responsible for the complete operation of a living unit and the IDD individuals who reside there. Developing and implementing all facets of home life, as close to a normal family unit as possible. The House Manager is also responsible for the supervision and evaluation of staff and the directing of ongoing daily activities and enforcement of all policies and procedures.

    Job Requirements:

    • Experience in DD licensed programs, preferably as a manager or assistant manager.
    • Maintain an active CNA.
    • First Aid/CPR Certified
    • Nurse Delegation Certificate
    • Alabama State Driver’s License, a reliable vehicle, auto insurance,
    • Minimum of high school diploma; some college preferred
    • Strong organizational & follow-up skills

    Duties

    • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure quality resident care and proper staff ratios are maintained.
    • Must be willing to transport clients.
    • Works on the floor as direct care as scheduled and necessary.
    • Team members must maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
    • Responsible for overall health, safety, wellbeing and quality of life for clients living in the homes supervised.
    • Ensures all clients have needed personal care items, clothing, recreational items, entertainment equipment and access to preferred activities.
    • Provides supervision, training and oversight of employees providing care in homes.
    • Monitor and supervise Direct Support Staff to ensure that each client is receiving the necessary support to participate in the activities and achieve the goals established in their Support Plans.
    • Monitor and supervise Direct Support Staff to ensure that client’s rights are being honored, and that opportunities for choices are being provided and encouraged.
    • Ensure that clients are provided transportation for: emergencies when they arise, medical appointments, therapies, work, school, activities, and outings.
    • Will oversee, train and provide progressive discipline to the Direct Support Staff.
    • Will ensure the safety of the site from fire, flood and other hazards.
    • Will communicate to newly hired staff pertinent policies & procedures, expectations, and job duties.Conducts In-Service trainings for staff
    • Acts as a Crisis On-Call Responder when designated.
    • Collaborate with Client Services Program Manager on designing and developing Individualized Instruction Support Plans (IISP).
    • Will maintain professional working relationships with clients, families, vocational vendors, staff, DD Case/Resource Managers, co-workers and other service providers.
    • Assist clients with bathroom needs.
    • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
    • Ensure staff are following a daily cleaning checklist.
    • Respond effectively to any client emergency and illness, follow procedures and notify Program Management as required.
    • Maintain all consumer and staff records as required.
    • Review Client Binders on a weekly basis, these would include: Financial Binder, Behavior Support Binder, Client Notebook,Daily/Medical Client Binder (checking daily).
    • Creates Agenda for monthly staff meetings, facilitating these meetings at the Agency office, unless directed otherwise.
    • Ensures the planning, scheduling, and organizing of clients' in-house activities, community recreational outings, Medical and dental appointments, etc. (Must be written on the calendar).
    • Will make sure the day to day operations of the facility are well organized and meet client's needs, will NOT improvise.
    • Reports on a weekly basis to Program Management of supplies needed and maintenance required for the program.
    • Restocks depleted agency forms in the home.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $33,656.54 - $40,532.61 per year
