Description
Fellowship House is a 72 bed residential treatment facility assisting men and women with alcohol and substance use recovery. The position is a 4 day 10 hour shift role scheduled for Sunday-Wednesday 8AM-6PM. The cook will have the opportunity to assist clients become sober, productive individuals by supporting them with vocational kitchen/food prep skills. The Cook will work directly with the Kitchen Manager and Maintenance Supervisor and participate in:
-Food and Meal Preparation
-Offering nutritious meals in accordance with health regulations and planned schedule
-Assist in ensuring all food storage remains clean and organized as well as doing occasional inventory.
-Lead residents in cooking, cleaning, and proper meal safety procedures.
-Assist with food purchase pickup and food donation pick ups.
Requirements
High school diploma, or GED
Kitchen or restaurant experience
Experience in menu planning and food preparation in a healthcare facility preferred, but not required
