In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care and support to residents within our Healthcare treatment center. Clients will range from 8-17 years of age.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments under guidance of licensed healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document residents progress, behaviors and any changes in health status
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow through with individualized care plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment promoting a sense of community among residents
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and independence
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with residents
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies or crisis situations, following established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about best practices in residential health treatment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or advance collegiate education in healthcare or social services is a plus
- Previous experience in residential treatment setting, teaching youth or similar environment preferred
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and maintain a demeanor
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and adherence to healthcare protocols and procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient and understanding demeanor
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by regulatory standards
