As a Childcare director, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care. Your role will involve supervising activities, assisting with educational tasks, and ensuring the well-being of each child.
Duties:
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate and educate children
- Create a structured daily schedule that includes playtime, learning activities, and rest periods
- Assist children with personal hygiene tasks such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing
- Serve meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and any specific instructions from parents
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Ensure a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, equipment, and play areas regularly
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for children
Skills:
- Education background: Experience in education administration or higher education teaching is preferred
- Experience working with children: Previous experience working with students or in a childcare setting is highly desirable
- Patience and empathy: Ability to understand and respond to the needs of each child individually
- Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
- Organizational skills: Ability to plan activities, manage time effectively, and maintain a structured environment
