Residential Care Medical Director plans and directs all aspects of clinical care at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility. Advises non-medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Additionally, Residential Care Medical Director requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a state license to practice medicine. Typically reports to top management. The Residential Care Medical Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.   • Job Overview:

    The Bodega Harbour Director of Operations is responsible for leadership and mentoring the F&B and member services team at Bodega Harbour HOA. The Bodega Harbour HOA Lifestyle incorporates the style and quality of the F&B service in all areas, Music, Amenities, Events and Activations. The Director of Operations is responsible for the Resident experience through offering world class service for the Homeowners Association, keeping all areas surgically clean, and is in constant contact with the Residents to garner feedback and areas of improvement.

    The ideal candidate routinely exercises good judgment, has great interpersonal and leadership skills, is an excellent communicator and possesses exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the high visibility areas such as the Clubhouse Bistro and Loung including kitchen, Pool, Gym, Dog Park and Play courts, among other areas, this individual must maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment with direct and indirect Resident communication. The Director of Operations is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the community.

    The Director of Operations works in compliance with FirstService standards and authentically delivering the Bodega Harbour HOA a positive Lifestyle environment.

    Compensation: $80,000 – 90,000

    FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

    Your Responsibilities:

    Leadership:

    • Be the FirstService Leader on site and report to the General Manager on site, while liaising and communicate with the Regional Directors and Department Heads.
    • Coordinate with the F&B department on planning and executing F&B based or supported community events.
    • Ensure the homeowners associaiton is operating efficiently and with the highest standards of custmer service satisfation.
    • Assist with HR related quiries and questions including the annual reviews of the leadership on site.
    • Assists F&B team in creating and maintaining a positive team atmosphere in the workplace.
    • Maintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hours.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the property employees to ensure strict adherence to all applicable standard policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate successfully with the residents and team.
    • Keep current with industry concepts, practices, and procedures that fully align with the Bodega Harbour HOA Brand.
    • Receives and resolves complaints from Residents, Leaders and Vendors
    • Complies with state and federal regulations regarding safe food handling, sanitation and service.
    • Maintaining a strong bar and beverage program that reflects the Bodega Harbour HOA Lifestyle, including daily/weekly specials and promotions.
    • Is actively involved in the ARB and queries sent to the HOA office and CAM
    • Demonstrate ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate course of action
    • Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service in personnel and cleanliness of all areas.
    • Monitors and creates kitchen and dining labor budgets; makes adjustments to achieve fiscal goals.
    • Monitors and orders all F&B inventory and supplies based on requirements and in line with budget and makes adjustments based on demand and to achieve fiscal goals.
    • Working with Point of Sale system is making changes to items running reports and cashing out staff at the end of the shift and preparing daily deposits.
    • Monitors onboarding, DLC, brand immersion and training of all new team members.
    • Implements development and succession plan for each leadership position
    • Exercise a positive attitude and remain professional under all circumstances.
    • Works with Leadership to control labor and expenses without compromising quality or service
    • Maintain complete knowledge of all the properties policies and procedures and the enforcement thereof.
    • Review Resident Feedback via NPS, social media and the member surveys– formulate feedback to the team on improvements based on the feedback.
    • Lead Daily First Call
    • Lead Weekly team meetings and create regular meetings with Key Leaders
    • Manage Key Operational Vendors
    • Control schedules to ensure adequate coverage of all areas and specifically during high volume, large events, and Holidays.
    • Check and ensure all Uniform Standards are adhered to
    • Create and maintain a Training Program for all Leadership and Line Level Team Members
    • Maintains an up-to-date preventative maintenance schedule for all areas of the property with the Maintenance Manger and Vendors.
    • Participate in Board Meetings as needed.
    • Monitor site delivery of financial output - receipts, inventory, cash, invoices, purchases, and reports.
    • Monitor Purchase Order System integrity, training, and operation.
    • Monitor Avid to ensure are invoices are paid timely.
    • Receive monthly statements from AP to ensure there are no balanced due at the end of each month.

    Supervises:

    • The leadership and operations of The Bluewater Lounge and Bistro, Member Events, Lifestyle, Fitness -Gym and Tennis/Bocce Ball courts and playground.

    Financial Management:

    • Understand financial goals, operate assets in owners' best interest in accordance with the Associations governing documents and guidelines.
    • Understands Association and F&B Budgets, the budgeting process and is fiscally responsible.
    • Can capably report, in detail, on fluctuations for all COS, Labor and other related Expenses in all departments.

    Daily Operations and Resident Experience:

    • Help create S.O.P.'s for the success of the operation and residents.
    • Champion the private and special event space and bookings.
    • Support Lifestyle with promotions, ideas, and resident driven F&B programming.
    • Build strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership.
    • Create an “I Love My Job” environment that further enlivens the Bodega Harbour HOA Lifestyle.
    • Ensure proper response and handling of all community emergencies through training with staff, residents, buildings, etc. within company guidelines to minimize liabilities.
    • Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
    • Comply with all ordinances and regulations per the locations jurisdictions.
    • Assist with hiring and disciplinary action with staff members.
    • Contribute positively to the Lifestyle, Brand Culture and Resident Experience

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Current with dining and beverage trends and styles.
    • Strong knowledge of beer, wine, & spirits- Sommelier, WSET, and/or Cicerone Certification would be highly beneficial.

    • Must be willing to frequently work hands on with team members- taking orders, bussing tables, pouring drinks, etc.

    Education & Experience:

    • High school graduate
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Food and Alcohol Service Managers Certification License (Serve safe or Responsible Vendors)
    • 3-5 Years of progressive Operations Management experience to include Bar, Restaurant, Rooms/HOA/Club and Banquet experience.
    • 3–5-year F&B Director Experience (3years of Resort Style F&B Leadership Experience preferred)
    • Community Association License Preferred
