Residential Supervisor

Pathway Family Services, LLC. provides resources for youth and families through their Independent Living Program, TRAIL (Teens Reaching Adult Independent Living), Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP), outpatient services and specialized foster care services.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in a human service field and BSRB licensure preferred. One year of supervisory experience is required. The position requires at least three years’ experience in working with children with a mental health diagnosis in a residential facility environment.

The experience shall include the following attributes:

a. Has provided appropriate care to the children and participated in their development and treatment program.

b. Supported constructive resident-family visitation and resident involvement in community activities, and

c. Worked effectively with treatment teams and appropriate stakeholders.

Must be at least 21 years of age based on state requirement of being at least 3 years older than the oldest resident.

Attendance and successful completion of Safe Crisis Management training, provided by Agency, is required. Previous experience with patient restraint preferred.

In addition to the current requirements- the employee is required to attend the Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training. Employee must complete the online certification process to become Nationally Certified within the first year of employment.

As a Youth Care Worker III, you will supervise the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility direct service program staff. Promotes the well-being of children in the facility; participate in staff meetings and trainings and coordinates with staff from other agencies which provides support services. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinates.

• Provides direct supervision of direct service program staff assigned to the facility and provides administrative expertise as required. Trauma informed care treatment modalities shall be incorporated within the program, supervisory and management activities.
• Ensures the accuracy, content, and completeness of child/family case files.
• Ensures family centered, evidence-based practices are applied in direct service delivery.
• Participates in case conferences with team members to review treatment and rehabilitation plans and goals.
• Assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of unit staff to ensure that work is performed according to agency and regulatory requirements. This includes development and maintenance of staff schedules and managing/monitoring use of leave, holidays, and overtime.
• Follows all accreditation standards and governmental regulations in regard to psychiatric residential treatment facilities. Responsible for ensuring compliance of subordinate staff with accreditation and regulatory agency standards. Reports observed compliance shortcomings and issues of subordinate and other facility staff to the assistant PRTF director. Coaches and mentors’ staff in the proper methods and practices required for compliance with these standards.
• Participates in the planning, programming, and budgeting of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility Program.
• Participates in the development of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility’s Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains a close working relationship with public and private agencies involved in providing services and support.
• Provides information to the responsible agency on all matters related to the child/family, as appropriate/directed.
• Conducts and coordinates assessments, as appropriate/directed.
• Participates in case planning conferences at required intervals, as appropriate/directed.
• Coordinates community resources for the benefit of children/families served by the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility Program.
• Monitors Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility referrals and assigns staff to the case in accordance with the Agency’s model.
• Provides clinical and administrative expertise in trauma informed care modalities to staff assigned to the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility Program. This includes developing and managing schedules of unity activities and community appointments.
• Provides crisis intervention, when required.
• Maintains the accuracy and content of case records.
• Complies monthly statistical data, completes reports and forwards to appropriate evaluative content.
• Completes documentation and forwards reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content.
• Coordinate with agency staff, and staff from external public and private agencies, on the delivery of services to children and families.
• Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote accurate and timely information flow.
• Will be required to drive personal or agency vehicle while transporting children or conducting agency business. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.
• Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
• Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
• Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
