Residential Living Supervisor supervises the work of a residential living staff. Provides training to resident assistants on proper care giving techniques. Being a Residential Living Supervisor may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Residential Living Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Living Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Responsibilities:
- Provide care to individuals in need, including seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, and other services in accordance with individual service plans
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or memory loss
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications:
- Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond when needed to serve our residents
- Ability to work as a team and also independently
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques
- Physical ability to lift and assist clients as needed
Employer will assist with getting CPR/First Aid and Medication Assistance Certification Course
