    As a Residential Outside Sales Representative, you will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives for the Residential sales segment. You must be comfortable and experienced in meeting with customers, architects, and other Residential customers and partners including new and existing ones. Teamwork is essential for success in this high-volume, fast-paced role. The ideal candidate will be a strategic planner, organized, a team player, and be expected to take ownership of the position.  This individual will work closely with inside sales, marketing, product management, planning, and manufacturing to provide focused customer support through the purchase process.         
       

    Responsibilities          

    • Grow revenue in the Residential Segment by direct sales for new and existing target accounts.
    • Build relationships with builders, architects, engineers, etc. to drive sales.
    • Engage and develop assigned direct trade retail accounts:
    • Assess customer requests for products and make appropriate recommendations based on needs and applications.
    • Manage sales pipeline to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
    • Drive participation and growth in residential trade programs.
    • Develop & improve sales processes to better serve key customers.
    • Complete monthly reports highlighting monthly performance vs. goal, while forecasting ongoing business to inform S&OP and management. 
    • Represent and drive company initiatives at conferences and trade associations.
    • Inform detailed work status and progress to Sales Director and meet deadlines.
    • Record and update correspondence and activities in Salesforce.
    • Work with customer service to make sure returns & cases are handled appropriately.
    • Phone assistance, building quotes, and processing orders as needed.

    • Up to 50% travel required.     
        
     Requirements        
       
    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
    • 3-5 years prior relevant sales experience
    • Incredibly organized and strong attention to detail — this is critical
    • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team
    • Strong work ethic — we work hard and play hard and expect the same from everyone on the team
    • Able to provide sales numbers and achievements to back your excellent references
    • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred
    • Strong relationship building skills
