Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative welding procedures and methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and production personnel, addressing and resolving welding-related issues.
- Maintain and manage welder qualifications, certifications, and welding procedure documentation.
- Coordinate certification requirements for pressure equipment and support laboratory testing requisitions.
- Welding School (vocational, military, or community college).
- Hands-on experience with industry standards, including ASME and AWS.
- Knowledge of the strength of materials and basic engineering calculations.
- Basic understanding of welding metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Certifications such as AWS CWI, CWEng, SCWI, or equivalent CWB certifications.
- Familiarity with API standards, including 510, 570, and 653.
