Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Position Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner possesses sufficient training and experience to perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluations of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.

New Jersey License in Respiratory and CPR certification. ACLS certification required; if not ACLS certified upon hire, must obtain within two years (Full or Part Time Only)
Preferred:
PALS Certification for Full and Part Time staff
ACLS and PALS Certification Per Diem employees

Required:
The ability to function independently, computer skills. Use hospital approved equipment including but not limited to bipap/cpap; ventilators; end tidal CO2; high flow oxygen therapy and all other components of respiratory care.
