Respiratory Therapist - Home Care works in a home care environment and assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Respiratory Therapist - Home Care treats patients with pressure breathing, mechanical ventilation, positive pressure breathing, humidity/medicated aerosol therapy, medical gas administration, pulmonary drainage procedures, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Additionally, Respiratory Therapist - Home Care operates oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist equipment. Requires a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Requires an associate's degree. Typically reports to a manager. You will also work closely with other doctors or members of their health team to arrange follow-up care, help educate patients on lifestyle changes they may need, and provide a positive, affirming presence in their lives. The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable handling multiple different cases at a time.
We need Occupational Therapist to complete Environmental Assessments in participants homes. These are one time visits. The pay is per visit.Responsibilities- Meet with patients from many different backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needs
- Conduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patient
- Create a therapy plan specific to each patient that will help them meet their mobility goals
- Work closely with other members of each patient’s care team to provide adequate follow-up care
- Maintain excellent records of patient therapy and progress
Qualifications- Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
