Resteel Ironworker jobs in Lafayette, LA
Resteel Ironworker installs reinforcing steel bars, cables, or wire in order to support concrete structures. May cut, bend, and/or weld steel construction materials. Being a Resteel Ironworker ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints and instructions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Resteel Ironworker may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Resteel Ironworker may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Sets up, braces and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches. Responsible for observing and monitoring others observance of all safety rules. Job Qualifications 3-5 years proven experience as an Ironworker. Welding experience preferred.
