Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant assists the store manager with the day-to-day operations of a tire store/center that markets to both retail and commercial clients. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Being a Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant manages the tire center in absence of the manager. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Additionally, Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant typically reports to a store manager. The Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.   • Tehama Tire Service, one of the oldest commercial tire dealers in northern California and southern Oregon, is looking for a Commercial Tire Store Manager for its location in Oroville, CA. With 8 commercial truck tire service centers, a retread plant, and a central distribution center, we provide service to small local fleets, large national accounts, government entities, public utilities, and many more.

    Tehama Tire is an employee-owned company founded in Red Bluff, CA in 1973. Each year, employees earn shares of stock in the company to help build their retirement account, in addition to enjoying full medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401K with company match, paid vacation and holidays.

    Starting Base Pay: $66,552 per year with a very generous profit sharing plan upon achieving company goals. Most of our store managers make over $100,000 per year, including performance bonuses.

    About the Position

    • Manage daily operations of the commercial tire store
    • Achieve profitability goals established by the company
    • Provide excellent service to each customer, large and small
    • Manage service technicians to achieve productivity goals
    • Work alongside technicians mounting and dismounting truck tires
    • Effectively manage and schedule large volume of casings for retreading
    • Train, develop, and motivate team of 4 service technicians

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Two or more years of commercial tire store management experience
    • Commitment to follow all safety and health regulations and report any injuries to management immediately
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record (required to drive company owned service trucks)
    • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including heavy lifting of commercial tires, standing, bending, and squatting
    • Ability to mount and dismount commercial truck tires weighing 150 pounds
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Maddenco tire software
    • Experience managing a team of 4 or more commercial tire service technicians
    • Knowledge of major tire manufacturer product lines

    Work Schedule

    • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Some after-hours calls to dispatch service technicians for ERS calls

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $5,546.00 per month
