Job Overview:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to fill the role of the auditor in the Syracuse area. Someone who is looking for a career with a family-owned business. We currently provide auditing services to local convenience stores in New York in the Binghamton, Syracuse, Fulton, Utica, Canton areas and some yearly inventories in Vermont. This role provides a change of scenery instead of going to the same office every day. Our auditors must have integrity and be committed to accuracy. This individual must love travel. We offer travel pay at the current minimum NY wage which is currently $15 an hour. This is paid from start time at the designated meet spot. Duties:
- Perform financial audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards
- Work with the team leader to perform audits and meet times to travel to stores
- Collaborate with management teams to ensure compliance with their industry standards and best practices
- Provide recommendations for improving loss and operational efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with relevant loss prevention trends and industry trends
- Utilize auditing software to perform data analysis and generate reports
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Auditor or similar role but not necessary we will train you
- Knowledge of financial concepts, risk management principles, and how shrink occurs
- Dependable transportation to meet the team leader and desired meet spot
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
