Retail Loss Prevention Representative monitors premises to reduce losses due to theft and fraud. Enforces security measures and procedures. Being a Retail Loss Prevention Representative observes areas that are vulnerable to theft and identifies occurrences. Ensures employees understand and follow policies and procedures for loss prevention and cash handling. Additionally, Retail Loss Prevention Representative collects, records, and maintains loss and incident data in appropriate format and system. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Retail Loss Prevention Representative works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Position Description Loss Prevention Specialist
Reports to: Strategic Operations Manager
Description
The Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for counting, documenting and researching discrepancies of company inventory.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete daily cycle counts comparing on hand inventory to counts while researching problematic issues.
- Assist in the companys full physical inventory as needed.
- Must be able to use and understand company systems and computer programs. I.E. VIP, email, Excel etc.
- Properly identify close coded product and accurately record in the companys route accounting software.
- Knowledge of supplier specific code dating.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Strong computer skills
- Flexible schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
