Remote with Flexibility(must be flexible to come to office every now and then & must live in a commutable range to one of the following cities)  Wash DC,  NYC, Houston, Dallas, Denver, LA, SF and Silicon Valley, Orange County

The Senior Pricing Analyst is an integral contributor on projects related to profitability analyses on legal matters, as well as billing rate and complex alternative fee arrangements.

Responsibilities include:

• Modeling matter profitability and providing scenario analysis to support pricing decisions for firm management.
• Providing project management support to attorneys for pricing and scoping engagements. This includes defining project scope, goals, and deliverables and in collaboration with global and local management, identifying resources needed to achieve project objectives that support business goals.
• Researching and identifying existing/historical firm matters that may provide a baseline for billing attorneys in developing budgets for new matters.
• Designing templates to assist attorneys with establishing budgets. Monitoring engagements on a regular basis and providing reports to management.
• Creating analysis and designing reports/presentations to display pricing trends.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure that the correct data is being captured and that the appropriate tools are available to provide accurate pricing analytics.
• Performing ad hoc analyses using the firm’s various data stores and tools.
• Completing special projects on various issues as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• General understanding of the fundamental elements of pricing.
• Must be a proactive, self-starter who understands the details and can integrate them into a much larger strategic context.
• Must have a strong customer focus, be responsive, work well under pressure and continually strive for efficiency and excellence.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving ability are required.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Able to work with large volumes of data and possess advanced proficiency in Excel (i.e., formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation).
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, attorneys and staff.

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree. Fields of study include business, economics, law/political science, finance, accounting, or project management.
• Minimum 4 years of financial and/or pricing experience; large law firm or corporate legal department experience preferred.
