Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Retail Tire Sales Associate works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. - Promptly meets and greets customers
- Answers phone and schedules appointments with customers
- Determines the nature of customer problems; May make road test or visually inspect the vehicle
- Creates Repair Order Request (ROR) detailing service to be performed or merchandise to be sold
- Explains warranties, options, pricing, etc. to the customer
- Obtains customer approval for service before delivering order to service personnel
- Reviews completed repairs or services performed with customers and collects payment
Desired Qualifications- High School graduate or comparable vocational training
- Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software
- Knowledge of auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance issues
- Experience using Mitchell Repair, Activant, All-Data and vehicle service manuals to research and determine the resolution of malfunctions
- 2 years experience in a retail environment, preferably auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance
- Retail customer service and customer relations experience
- Preferred Experience
- 3 years experience as a Sales Associate in an auto repair store, auto dealership or comparable professional environment
