Retail Tire Service Manager jobs in Kansas
Retail Tire Service Manager manages the service staff to effectively meet customer requirements and minimize tire service related expenses. Assigns jobs within the service center and dispatches road and fleet service according to customer requests or established requirements. Being a Retail Tire Service Manager makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs. Trains service technicians and conducts new hire orientation; schedules other training as required. Additionally, Retail Tire Service Manager ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety, DOT and established operating procedures. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a store manager. The Retail Tire Service Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Retail Tire Service Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Responsibilities: Perform oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacement, and other mechanical services Maintain and replace tires Maintain tools and equipment Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles for additional problems Perform general housekeeping in work area Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: General diesel mechanical knowledge General passenger automotive knowledge Ability to use basic hand tools, tire tools, air wrench and other essential tools Driver’s License required Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift, push and pull up to 125 pounds Frequently bending, squatting and kneeling You wouldn’t stop at a green light, so don’t let your career become caught in a roadblock.
