The OEM Sales Manager will work under the direct supervision of the VP Sales & Marketing to increase sales and market share in the Construction OEM segment. The individual will be responsible for proposing, developing, and implementing a sales strategy (under the guidance of the Superior Sales Philosophy) and marketing activities directed at meeting (or exceeding) assigned sales goals for business segment. They will align the internal resources of Superior (Engineering/Production/Sales) to meet/exceed the needs of the OEM accounts. The OEM Sales Manager will maintain and grow the current segment of business and prospect new accounts to grow Superior’s share.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities - To profitably grow CBU sales in the OEM Segment.
Customer Development

To make customer visits (physically or virtually) as necessary to support sales growth; including the ability to conduct account reviews, training sessions, and short/long term strategy planning.

Ensure the OEM Scorecards are maintained at the highest level of excellence.
- Driving the organization to deliver Superior’s products to the OEM’s in a manner that is on-time and free of defect, supporting the drivers of the OEM scorecards.

To prepare and justify quotes for existing and new products in response to customer requests.

Perform in-field application analysis including trouble-shooting and problem-solving as it relates to forklift tire and wheel performance, supporting the OEM customer.

To represent Superior Tire & Rubber professionally at assigned aftermarket trade shows.
Product Development
-
Coordinate with internal and external engineering teams so that new product needs of the customers are met; understand customer applications and recommend solutions that meet/exceed customer expectations.

Prioritize OEM projects that maximize the revenue/profit of Superior.
- Implement testing of new products at OEM’s and track progress so that results are clearly understood to Superior and the customer.

Develop with Superior Engineering product roadmaps for future product development by monitoring OEM product design trends; ultimately driving account sales growth.
Marketing Intelligence

Gather competitive market data including pricing, market share, & business terms, and present the findings to the leadership team and the marketing analyst.

When required assist in acquiring competitive products for evaluation and testing.

Regularly report competitive information.
Administrative Responsibilities
-
Create and present your own PowerPoint presentations.

Record customer interactions in the CRM (Salesforce) in a timely manner.

Create and analyze data in Excel from the numerous data sources within Superior. This includes the ability to perform the following within Excel (filters/sorting/pivot tables/ V & H lookups, creating charts and graphs, and performing basic calculations in the worksheet)

Submit travel expenses in a timely manner.
- Prepare for and contribute to monthly aftermarket sales meetings.

Outline and communicate travel / calls via written communication in a report format.
Key Performance Factors

Achieving/exceeding annual sales targets for the OEM customer segment which will be defined annually by measuring:
- New Account Growth.

New Platform wins at existing OEM customers.
-
Market share growth at existing OEM customers.
- OEM supplied Scorecard results.
-
Preparation and participation in monthly Construction BU sales meetings

Maintain an organized system of tracking account growth and prospecting in the CRM (Salesforce)

Delivery of projects on time that meets the needs of the OEM customer and Superior Tire & Rubber Corp.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities

To work in conjunction with the VP Sales & Marketing on creating an annual sales forecast and general sales operating plan for the target group of the CBU OEM accounts

To work with the VP Sales & Marketing to develop and implement a quarterly sales and marketing plan that meets OEM goals for the target group of accounts.
Base Job Prerequisites:
-
Business degree and 5-8 years of proven sales experience (four-year degree desired and sales history in construction/industrial markets preferred).

Demonstrated leadership of a team that has accomplished company appointed targets.

Proven completion of formal sales training (Internal or External)
-
Fluent in the MS Office suite of tools; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook.

Ability to speak/present in a professional/persuasive manner front of a small/large groups of people (including on-line video conferences). This includes the ability to write letters/emails in the same professional style.

Skilled in contract negotiation and supply line agreement document review.

Can analyze complex supply forecasts (including ECN’s) and communicate the demand changes within the Superior organization.
Travel Expectations
-
Planned and self-directed monthly sales trips totaling 30-50% of the time.

Be present in Warren:
- CBU 5-week update, which requires travel on Sunday.
- Customer Visits and Annual Sales Meetings (as required)

Strategic product roadmap planning meetings

Heavy presence in Warren during on-boarding
- International Travel – Passport is required.
