SUMMARY:
The Customer Returns Clerk is responsible for unpacking, evaluating, and issuing credit for customer returned product. Other task and responsibilities may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Level One Customer Returns Clerk:
• Sort, clean, relabel, repackage customer returned product for return to stock.
• Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow (5S)
Level Two Customer Returns Clerk:
• Successfully perform all responsibilities of a level one customer returns clerk, plus one year experience; OR:
• Become fully cross trained in another manufacturing department. Note: there must be a need in the other department before full cross training will be authorized.
Level Three Customer Return Clerk:
• Successfully perform all functions of level two customer returns clerk plus ALL of the following:
• Unpack customer returns and verify contents against return authorization (adjust if necessary)
• Inspect produce and determine disposition for credit and routing (scrap, warehouse, showroom).
• Issue credit and process material transfer of product (MTF).
• Become fully cross trained in another manufacturing department.
Level Four Customer Returns Clerk:
• Successfully perform all functions of level three customer returns clerk plus ALL of the following:
• Ability to conduct training and document training of new employees (Train the trainer certification required).
• Ability to evaluate returns at a higher level (identify counterfeit products)
• Assist in investigations of quality issues.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS (Applies to levels three and four):
Ability to perform basic data entry, basic functions of Enterprise 1 (JDE) and SCALE warehouse management system, basic functions of Excel and Word.
