Returns Manager is responsible for the entire returns process. Communicates the returns process with vendors, customers, and employees and manages employees involved in the returns process. Being a Returns Manager may require an associate degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Returns Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Returns Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     POSITION DUTIES

    The Comptroller of Maryland, Revenue Administration Division is seeking Temporary Workers to assist with the investigation, correction and processing of tax returns and other tax processing work. These positions will be available during Tax Filing Season. Tax Law and PC training will be provided. Temporary positions can lead to more permanent opportunities. SALARY: $17.00 per hour PLEASE NOTE: These positions are located in the Annapolis office and work Monday-Friday. The following shifts are available: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Candidates may be required to work some State Holidays and Saturdays.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. ** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at�http://www.naces.org/members.html.

This background check is comprehensive and may involve fingerprinting. Upon initial appointment OR promotion to a position in the State Personnel Management System, an employee is required to serve an initial six- month probationary period. This probationary period may be extended an additional six months under certain circumstances at the discretion of the appointing authority.
