Duties: Responsible for the control and coordination of all required actions to support the successful operation and management of the Defense Travel System (DTA) for over 750 civilian employees. Provides assistance to WVA users, resolves travel issues, and maintains accurate travel database and certifications. Audits ATAAPS/DCPS Payroll Reports; Resolves Payroll Inquiries and Provides Payroll Information: Reviews various ATAAPS reports, such as Missing Time and Attendance and the Invalid Transaction Reports. Ensures current leave regulations, payroll policies, and reporting procedures are followed by WVA employees.
Performs fact finding, research, and investigations to identify, analyze and recommend solutions regarding legal employee actions such as payouts for settlements, corrections of labor loans, and the completion of travel orders. Coordinates with internal/external financial/program management personnel to resolve issues and/or prevent accounting errors. Reviews and processes miscellaneous obligations to include Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) across multiple DOD agencies.
Qualifications:
For GS-08: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes (1) Processing various actions in financial management, personnel, and payroll systems; (2) Researching and resolving various pay, leave and/or deduction problems; and (3) Reviewing travel documents/vouchers for accuracy and compliance with travel policies.
For the GS-09: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes (1) Processing various actions in financial management, personnel, and payroll systems; (2) Researching and resolving various pay, leave and/or deduction problems; (3) Reviewing travel documents/vouchers for accuracy and compliance with travel policies; and (4) Compiling and analyzing data from a variety of sources to provide detailed financial/labor reports.
Requirements for Position:
· Appointment may be subject to suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a complete background investigation.
· This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
· Financial Management Certification Level 1: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
