Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     About the role
    MyEyeDr is looking for an experienced Director of Revenue Accounting, to join our team. The Director of Revenue Accounting will be an essential part of the accounting team and responsible for oversight of the financial reporting process related to revenue and accounts receivable. This position reports to the Vice President, Controller.


    This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices.


    You Will

    • The Position has overall financial responsibility for revenue management including revenue recognition and receivables management
    • Serves as the primary interface with Finance, external auditors, and senior leadership on all revenue related matter
    • Manage the monthly close process for all revenue related activities
    • Establish and maintain policies for revenue recognition and accounts receivables
    • Leads the Sales Audit function, including the reconciliation of POS transactions to the general ledger and other systems, including complete, proper and timely patient billing for services and products received, review of discounts, promotions, adjustments, write-offs, refunds and credits to ensure completeness, appropriateness, and accuracy of flows
    • Serves as subject matter expert regarding revenue transactions and related contract analysis
    • Design and maintain an effective internal control environment over the order to cash cycle including reporting and related accounting estimates
    • Support business and finance teams in analysis of revenue related transactions and variances to budget
    • Serve as business owner of revenue related systems and provide leadership and strategic guidance to support system consolidation / upgrades, product initiatives and regulatory and tax compliance needs
    • Address technical accounting matters associated with material or non-standard contracts and settlements and prepare/review supporting memos with recommended accounting treatment
    • Develop and retain a high performing team that employs best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction


    About You

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • 10 years progressive work experience in accounting with 5 years in a management capacity
    • Strong background with US GAAP, revenue recognition and receivables management
    • Healthcare or optical experience a plus
    • Public accounting experience a plus.
    • CPA preferred.
