Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department.     JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Controller, and with the assistance of the Revenue Audit Supervisor, manages Revenue Audit and Soft Count. Directly supervises the Revenue Audit Supervisor and Soft Count Supervisor. In absence of the Controller, may take on certain duties of the Controller as assigned. Ensures the operations of Revenue Audit and Soft Count are in compliance with Tribal Ordinances, State Compact, TICS, SICS, NIGC, and policies and procedures.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED:This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.

    • Ensure and maintain compliance with all ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations including but not limited to: NIGC Regulations, Yakama Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls and other communications from regulatory personnel.
    • Directly supervises and provides leadership to Revenue Audit and Soft Count.
    • Ensures Revenue Audit and Soft Count staff complies with Tribal Ordinances, State Compact, TICS, SICS, NIGC and policies and procedures.
    • Oversees management and coordination of Revenue Audit and Soft Count staff training (including cross training on tasks/audits) and professional development.
    • Ensures proper coordination, scheduling, and rotation of Revenue Audit and Soft Count staff to effectively complete duties and insure adequate coverage of tasks/audits on a seven-day a week basis.
    • Ensures Revenue Audit staff maintains compliance with any deadlines required in completing their audits.
    • Ensures audits are fully completed and documented, audit checklists and/or review checklists are completed, audits are reviewed and corrections made, exception reports issued for Revenue Audit staff and other departments and properly filed on a daily basis.
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of all audits and tasks performed by the Revenue Audit Supervisor, Lead Revenue Auditors, and Revenue Auditors.
    • Ensures Soft Count timely completes daily counts, counts are fully completed and documented, documents are reviewed, corrections made, and delivered in a timely manner.
    • Will review audits in absence of Revenue Audit Supervisor and/or Lead Revenue Auditors or as needed.
    • Ensure that all vendors are licensed in compliance with licensing requirements of TGA.
    • Continually evaluates and implements effective process improvement methodologies across all areas of responsibilities to increase effectiveness of Revenue Audit and Soft Count operations.
    • Familiar with and fairly enforces all policies and procedures contained within the Team Member Handbook.
    • Visible, available, and present for their team.
    • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
    • Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.
    • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
    • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:



    SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: Revenue Audit Supervisor and Soft Count Supervisor.

    LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: HS Diploma or GED required. B.A. or B.S. or equivalent in finance or accounting preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Ability to sit for extended length of time. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION: Minimum 5 years management or supervisory experience in finance or accounting. Previous Revenue Audit management or supervisory experience in a Casino environment highly desirable. Demonstrated positive management and supervisory skills and experience. Proven skills in developing a productive team environment. Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills. Ten key by touch.
