Revenue Cycle Director directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Being a Revenue Cycle Director tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Additionally, Revenue Cycle Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Revenue Cycle Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Revenue Cycle Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Demonstrate coding and billing knowledge
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions
    • Knowledge of professional fee billing, reimbursement, third-party payer regulation, and medical terminology
    • Payer contract negotiations through a strong value proposition perspective
    • Delivers insightful and meaningful feedback to the CEO with a focus on opportunities for revenue cycle improvement and ongoing staffing needs for operations success.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Monitor accounts receivable
    • Lead by example
    • Coordinate billing and collection activities
    • Oversee monthly close processes, including reporting and account balancing
    • Ensure accurate billing of insurance providers and patients
    • Evaluate billing processes and procedures

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge and skills with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to use and navigate the Electronic Medical System
    • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly
    • Participate in ongoing learning and growth development opportunities
    • Ability to correspond professionally
    • Ability to develop team training and support between the front of the billing services (Patient Service Specialist)
    • Knowledge and skilled at Emotional Intelligence, empathy, team building, and inclusion.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Knowledge of compliance with state and federal laws, payer rules and regulations, and company policies regarding compliance, integrity, patient privacy, and ethical billing and collection practices.

    Minimum Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 4-7 Years in Medical Billing Experience
    • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
    • Innovative thinker
