Revenue Cycle Director directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Being a Revenue Cycle Director tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Additionally, Revenue Cycle Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Revenue Cycle Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Our healthcare organization seeks Revenue Cycle Management Delivery Lead proficient in leading credentialing and access management (PECOS, CAQH) for providers. The ideal candidate will maintain financial Scorecards for physicians/providers, generate patient analytics from EMRs, coordinate patient eligibility and payment source screening, and generate reports for financial analytics. Proficiency in different EMRs for analytics is essential. With over 10 years of experience in medical billing and a bachelor's degree, you will coordinate billing and collection activities, optimize payments, lead denial management for insurance providers, ensure compliance with HIPAA, and devise payment sources for new patient enrollment before treatment. Ideal candidate must have expert knowledge of professional billing and coding, device process of internal audit, and external audits, able to review and understand health plan policies related to medical billing.

    Responsibilities:

    • New Client Onboarding:
    • Facilitate seamless onboarding process for new clients, ensuring clear communication and coordination across sales, marketing, and relevant departments.
    • Serve as a bridge between clients and internal teams, addressing any concerns or requirements promptly.
    • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Oversight:
    • Manage the RCM process for clients, including auditing both internal and external medical billing procedures.
    • Identify and resolve billing issues with insurance companies, ensuring timely resolution to prevent revenue loss.
    • Implement processes to flag overbilling or underbilling instances, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
    • Coordination with Patients, Providers, and Insurance Companies:
    • Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, addressing billing, benefits, and insurance-related inquiries or issues.
    • Ensure smooth communication and resolution of disputes, optimizing revenue collection and customer satisfaction.
    • Cross-Functional Business Insights:
    • Conduct cross-audits to ensure consistency and compliance across different aspects of the business.
    • Utilize strong technical skills to understand and interpret reporting data, maintaining proficiency in dashboard usage.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on audit findings to improve processes and drive business efficiency.
    • Billing and Collection Coordination:
    • Coordinate billing and collection activities to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment collection.
    • Monitor accounts receivable activity, identify outstanding balances, and implement strategies to minimize delinquency.
    • Financial Close Oversight:
    • Oversee monthly close processes, including reporting and account balancing, to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Insurance Billing Management:
    • Ensure accurate billing of insurance providers and patients, adhering to billing guidelines and regulations.
    • Document medical billing denials from insurance providers, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
    • Process Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Evaluate billing processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.
    • Implement enhancements to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and optimize revenue collection.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related healthcare field, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and healthcare industry knowledge.
    • 7 years of relevant experience in medical billing, demonstrating a deep understanding of billing processes, insurance claims, and revenue cycle management.
    • Supervisory experience is a plus, showcasing leadership abilities and the capacity to manage and mentor a team effectively.
    • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations, ensuring compliance with patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in billing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize revenue collection.
    • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    • Telehealth experience strongly preferred.

    Location:

    · This role is an onsite position located at Royal Oak, MI, requiring presence Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

    · Must be open to travel for work-related purposes, such as client meetings, training sessions, or conferences, as needed.

    · Flexibility in scheduling and availability to accommodate occasional travel is essential to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
