Revenue Cycle Manager
Position Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire revenue cycle management process at Arrowhead Orthopaedics. This position is responsible for maximizing revenue collection, ensuring compliance with billing policies and procedures, and maintaining an efficient billing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing, an analytical mind, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our patients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle management process, including billing, collections, denials management, and payment posting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and payer requirements.
- Monitor and analyze billing and collection activities to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely billing of services.
- Lead, train, and manage the revenue cycle team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all operations.
- Work closely with IT and software vendors to ensure the billing system is functioning optimally, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of receivables, collections, and overall financial performance related to the revenue cycle.
- Manage patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of medical billing software, electronic medical records (EMR), and healthcare IT systems.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
