Job Description

The Business Analyst evaluates business processes, identifies needs and develops strategies to maximize the accuracy and efficiency of products and services for internal and external project initiatives. The Business Analyst may work with internal customers, external end users as well as channel partners to integrate RMS solutions with client systems. The Business Analyst will demonstrate advanced knowledge of product functionality and the back-end systems and technologies supporting RMS client offerings

Key Responsibilities

• Perform business, technical and user requirement analysis for new product and process improvements
• Collect and analyze data for improved business processes and potential business expansion
• Lead projects and coordinate with stakeholders to produce better business outcomes
• Serve as technical liaison between development teams and non-technical stakeholders, both internal and external
• Assist in defining project scope, impact, outcome criteria and metrics
• Analyze customer-supplied specifications for completeness and accuracy
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, assuring fulfillment and/or redefining as necessary
• Create product and process documentation for both current and future states
• Perform ad-hoc SQL reporting
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision making
• SQL experience and knowledge required
• Data analysis, trending and mining experience preferred
• Knowledge of the healthcare claims process and revenue cycle preferred
• Knowledge of ANSI X 12 Health Care transaction sets, including 837s and 835s, strongly desired
• Experience in an Agile software development lifecycle desired

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma (GED) with a minimum 3 years relevant experience required

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories).
