Job Duties

Department Specific Duties

Supervise CDI, Utilization Management, and Audit teams.

Develop and monitor Key Performance indicators for CDI, Utilization Management, and Aduit teams.

Maintain Policy and Procedures.

Lead regular staff and provider education sessions based on audit trends and/or Regulatory Compliance.

Adhere to all federal, state and Mercy Medical Center policies relating to medical records.

Educate and formulate training of all new employees.

Cover for Manager, Revenue Cycle during absences.

Professional Experience

Minimum two years acute care or equivalent clinical setting experience.

Minimum three years Clinical Documentation experience.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other health related degree.
Education
Licensure, Certification, Registration

Required: Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Iowa

Preferred: Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)
