Ensures that all crew are at the rig and ready to work at scheduled time. Being a Rig Operator maintains productivity standards for all rig functions. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance of applicable regulations and policies. Additionally, Rig Operator may require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rig Operator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Rig Operator typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
