The Position

Right-of-Way Agents appraise, acquire, relocate, clear, and manage real property for the State and, as requested, its political subdivisions.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

This position is in the Right-of-Way Division, Carson City Headquarters and is responsible for statewide transportation related projects. Incumbent must possess a high degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently. The incumbent will frequently act as a lead worker to ensure timely implementation of assignment and tasks, manage activities and schedules of short and long-term projects, and provide direction and guidance to subordinates. This position requires knowledge and experience with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended (Uniform Act). Title 23 and Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, FHWA Uniform Act, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, Highway Beautification Act.
