    Who You Are:

    The Risk Analyst is responsible to support new sales growth, customer solutions, and service clients in the implementation process while evaluating clients to make sound judgments in approving client partners and their corresponding operational employment risks.  Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow are essential to success.

    What You'll Do:

    • Review sales RFI submissions to evaluate prospective client’s Industry within company procedures and guidelines for acceptance or rejection.
    • Take active ownership of newly assigned clients for the administration of the Risk Team's client business acceptance and implementation process.
      • Evaluate new client business operations to support their acceptance and implementation of ExtensisHR Professional Employer Organization service solutions within company procedures, guidelines, and service level agreements.
      • Examine documentation for accuracy and details necessary to meet ExtensisHR compliance and carrier partner covenant reporting obligations, inclusive of employer/employee classification, legal entity registration, structure, tax reporting structure, and ownership.
      • Review, approve and establish required ExtensisHR system details involving client locations, employee positions/titles, and employee workers’ compensation class code assignment.
      • Engage in a Client Consultative process to explain and discuss ExtensisHR supplemental Employer Protection Plan benefit offerings.
      • Perform analysis of applications, supplemental applications, loss runs, financial documents, risk control and other necessary documents to determine hazards and exposures with prospective clients and potential eligibility for placement in the workers’ compensation insurance programs.
      • Facilitate the completion and accuracy of all required Client workers’ compensation applications/forms.
      • Review, establish, categorize, and provide authorization of proper governing classification codes for individual risks and employees for proper placement in client solution insurance programs.
      • Examine documentation for accuracy of information for underwriting including proper class codes, locations, payroll, loss information and ownership.
      • Ensure accuracy of distribution carrier issued policies, endorsements, and audits.
      • Review and identify any risks with performance issues and collaborate with claims and loss control for client intervention when necessary.
    • Communicate and supports current ExtensisHR Risk Management policies with sales team for both new and renewal business.
    • Service and maintain Carrier partnerships with periodic new client audits and reporting.
    • Service and maintain Client relationships with daily inquiries and requests.
    • Manage day to day program functions and special projects as required.

    Administration:

    • Record and maintain accuracy of active client data within department applications.
    • Establish, document, and maintain Department Workflow and CRM records, all required electronic logs, carrier transmission files, and automated screening tools.
    • Track client compliance with Extensis’ insurance requirements and worksite safety recommendations.

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business, insurance and/or equivalent technical understanding of the insurance claims/adviser or counselor/underwriting industry with an emphasis on the multi-state workers’ compensation market. Advanced degrees or certifications (ARM, CPCU, CLCS, CSP, etc.) a plus.
    • Practical knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Classification rules and regulatory interpretations for assignment.
    • Ability to understand complex Ownership and combinability for experience rated/nonrated workers’ compensation.
    • Client consultative approach to client risk solving.
    • Negotiates Skillfully - Uses persuasion in tough situations.
    • Communication – Position needs to excel at communicating via MS Teams, in person, phone, email and internally across teams.
    • High Business Acumen – Position must be comfortable engaging C-suite executives and coordinating internal operations successfully.
    • Resourceful Problem Solver – Proactively recognize opportunities and offer solutions before the client asks based upon connecting the dots between client interactions and Risk service solutions.
