    What You'll Do in This Position

    Purpose of Position

    Assist in developing risk management scope for assigned tasks and apply creative solutions to assigned responsibilities. Begin using risk management methods, processes, and techniques with minimal supervisory guidance. Accept complex tasks and receive minimal guidance from senior professionals.

    Major Responsibilities

    *Perform a wide variety of moderately complex, and diverse functions directly in support of the assigned risk management tasks.
    *Exhibit competency at a high technical level.
    *Provide limited guidance and direction to junior professionals to complete assigned tasks using established requirements, policies, and procedures.
    *Apply technical knowledge toward the improvement of the product where possible and incorporate new ideas resulting from experience in the field.
    *Support other senior professionals in the development, analyses, maintenance, and reporting of risk.
    *Organize and accept responsibility for the accuracy of limited risk evaluation results using standard techniques and procedures.
    *Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
    *Incorporate conventional risk management practices into risk problem solving and develop alternate solutions to problems.

    Security Clearance Information

    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

    Qualifications We Require

    Bachelor degree in appropriate field (i.e., risk management, business management, science or engineering)

    Other Qualifications

    Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

    Qualifications We Desire

    Understands and applies advanced knowledge of risk management concepts, principles and techniques. Sounds technical knowledge base or risk management standard concepts, principles, and techniques.

    * Demonstrated written and verbal skills
    * High motivation and attention to detail
    * Shows confidence
    * Proficiency with computers and MS-Office applications
    * Customer oriented
    * Experience with facilitating risk meetings of up to 25 people is desired.
    * Experience with SQL Programing is desired.
    * Demonstrated ability to approach individuals (face to face) for the purpose of gathering information is desired.
