Risk Management Director - Healthcare develops and administers risk management programs. Creates and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. Being a Risk Management Director - Healthcare coordinates and develops hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals. Additionally, Risk Management Director - Healthcare investigates any incidences that may result in an asset loss. Oversees insurance designed to protect the health system from loss. Collects information related to the claims and lawsuits made against the health system. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Risk Management Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Summary of Housekeeping Environmental Services Director (EVS)
The Housekeeping Environmental Services Director maintains the cleanliness of the facility in a safe, sanitary, orderly and attractive manner, free from offensive odors. Performs daily cleaning of occupied patient areas, nursing stations, work area, halls, lounges, storage areas, laboratory, bathrooms, offices, and any other assigned areas, in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department, and in accordance with the objectives of the facility.
Responsibilities for Housekeeping Environmental Services Director (EVS)
- Select cleaning materials, load service caret and clean assigned areas
- Clean equipment and notify manager of any necessary repairs
- May collect hazardous waste and transport it in special closed container for sterilization
- Collect or distribute linen, clean and soiled
Requirements/Qualifications of Housekeeping Environmental Services Director (EVS)
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year of experience in a Environmental Services position.
- Must be able to clearly give written and verbal messages in English.
